Dennis talks about struggling Barcelona
from icons.com

"Well, a lot of people at Highbury are following the fortunes of Barcelona after Marc Overmars and Manu Petit moved there during the summer. Also, of course, many of my former international team-mates are there so it's interesting for me. It seems extremely strange that Frank de Boer isn't getting more games for Barcelona at the moment because for me, Frank is quite simply world class. Surely, he could walk straight into any team in the world and yet he can't get into a Barcelona team that's currently struggling."

"Why is this? It may be a problem within the camp, it may be to do with his fitness or it could be there is even a small anti-Dutch thing going on at Barcelona. It's hard for me to say because I don't play there so I'd only be speculating. But with all the talent that's currently in the squad, there must be something going a little wrong at the moment. How can a team with players like Kluivert, Overmars, Rivaldo and De Boer be struggling so badly? One thing is for sure: they'll get out of their problems. As I said, their squad just oozes quality and so they'll dig themselves out of their current difficulties. I wish them all well. I particularly think of my friend Marc Overmars. As you know, I played with Marc at Ajax, Arsenal and for Holland. He's a fantastic person and a top-quality footballer. Good luck to him."
