Dennis Bergkamp is prepared to travel by car to play in Arsenal's two remaining Champions League group matches. The Gunners resume their European campaign in Lyon on Tuesday, 13 February, and then finish their group matches in Munich on 14 March against Bayern Munich. Bergkamp's phobia about flying means that he will have to make the trips to France and Germany by road.

But he said: "When I saw the draw and those two two sides, I thought then that it will be not be difficult to get there.

"I prefer to travel by car because you can pick your times and it is an easy journey. I can be involved, if the boss wants me.

"He will have to decide whether he thinks I will be okay after car journeys and whether he thinks he will need me.

"We will just have to see how the boss feels about it but I want to play and I want to be involved."
